How do you keep fighting through the years?
How do you not feel that you're going to drown?

I'm in tears. It weighs me down
The nightly news hangs on my shoulder
Climate journey, species dying
The clearfelled forests where once dwelt such glory
And I'm crying in the darkness my way ahead cannot be found
In despair my hands are bound

But you have to hold on. Hold on somehow
Never forget our movement never dies

And then I see young people gather
In love and rage they stand together
Handpainted cardboard
Strong voices singing
And when I join them I feel my heart rise!
Telling truth they feel their power, demand a future safe and sound

Hope is seeded all around
Hope is seeded

In service to all living creatures
Today, tomorrow, each hopeful morning
I rebel because I love
With all the heart, soul and strength that's within me
With the mothers, the young lovers, my earthly sisters, fullhearted brothers
Steadfast justice seekers who work for peace, and heal the ground

Hope is seeded all around
